At the invitation of the Commercial Department of the Austrian Embassy in Ho Chi Minh City, HM&P attended the regular business luncheon for Austrian companies operating in Vietnam on June 13. Representing HM&P, Managing Partner Nguyen Van Phuc and Counsel Nguyen Van Dong attended the event to exchange and network with businesses. The event was held at the Pullman Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and was attended by nearly 100 business leaders from Austria and Vietnam.
At the event, HM&P lawyers presented the firm's services, particularly in the areas of trade and investment, which HM&P supports for its clients, including FDI companies investing in Vietnam. The parties had a frank and honest discussion about the obstacles to investment activities, as well as concerns about prominent legal issues such as personal data protection, VAT, corporate income tax, and global minimum tax that Vietnam currently applies or plans to adjust in the near future.

In addition, we also heard insights on tax and accounting issues from representatives of Forvis Marza Vietnam, who highlighted some key points on these issues today.
Finally, HM&P lawyers and representatives of Austrian companies in Vietnam enjoyed lunch together and continued to network, opening up opportunities for future cooperation.
HM&P sincerely thanks the Commercial Section of the Austrian Embassy in Vietnam for inviting and facilitating us to meet, exchange, and network with Austrian businesses in Vietnam. We believe that with our strengths and expertise, HM&P will strongly support the business activities of Austrian enterprises in Vietnam in particular and foreign enterprises in Vietnam in general.
