On October 26, the Dialogue Conference between the Ministry of Health and Pharmaceutical Companies was held under the chairmanship of Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen, Deputy Minister of Health, with the participation of Mr. Ho Ky Minh, Member of the Standing Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of Da Nang People's Committee; ASS. TS. Le Van Truyen - Chairman of the Advisory Council for Issuing Registration Certificates for Distribution of Drugs and Medicinal Raw Materials, former Deputy Minister of Health; representatives of relevant departments, divisions and branches and hundreds of enterprises and associations in the pharmaceutical field throughout the country.
At this dialogue, for the second time (in 2023), the Ministry of Health, especially the Drug Administration of Vietnam, frankly exchanged openly with the business community to listen and resolve, difficulties and obstacles that enterprises encounter not only about administrative procedures, the delay in resolving these procedures, but the Drug Administration also discussed policies and mechanisms to solve these shortcomings in the coming period with the highest sense of responsibility of pharmaceutical management agencies.

In addition, at the conference, Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen also stressed that in order to promote rapid and sustainable development of enterprises, the Ministry of Health has been gradually focusing on promoting the reform of administrative procedures, improving the business investment environment, removing difficulties, etc. solve bottlenecks, shortcomings in policy mechanisms ... in particular, the development and promulgation of legal documents for the Ministry of Health to study and consider, in order to provide specific solutions to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles, create a favorable business investment environment for enterprises in the coming period.

On the morning of October 27, Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen, Deputy Minister of Health, continued to chair the conference to collect comments on the draft law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Pharmacy. The conference was attended by nearly 1,000 delegates from central agencies and ministries, WHO, international organizations, local health departments; domestic and international pharmaceutical industry.
The draft law, which amends and supplements a number of articles of the Law on Pharmacy, will be submitted to the National Assembly for comments at the 7th session (5 May 2024) and to the National Assembly for approval at the 8th session (October 2024).

Mr. Vu Tuan Cuong, Director General of the Drug Administration of Vietnam, said that the project to amend and supplement the Pharmaceutical Law will amend and supplement 38 articles of the Pharmaceutical Law of 2016; in particular, 36 articles will be amended, 2 articles will be supplemented, and 1 article will be abolished.
At the Conference, delegates discussed, made important opinions and closely followed the actual content of the industry's activities. Specifically, the delegates who are pharmaceutical enterprises demanded: expand the business activities of foreign-invested pharmaceutical enterprises, build corridors to apply e-commerce in the pharmaceutical industry, improve drug circulation registration procedures,....
