HM&P Participated In The Eurocham High Technology Agriculture, Industrial & Commercial Enterprises Connection Forum – Binh Phuoc Province 2024

On 12/03, HM&P representative, our Managing Partner Nguyen Van Phuc participated in the "EuroCham High Technology Agriculture, Industrial & Commercial Enterprises Connection Forum – Binh Phuoc Province 2024" together with EuroCham Business delegation in Vietnam. The program was held at the Conference Center of Binh Phuoc Provincial School of Politics, under the chairmanship of Binh Phuoc Provincial People’s Committee, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam ("EuroCham"), and the Vietnam Digital Agriculture Association ("VIDA") with the participation of nearly 360 domestic and international delegates.

Representing the leadership of Binh Phuoc Province were Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Committee; Mrs. Tran Tue Hien, Chairwoman of Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Phung Duc Tien, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development and representatives of provincial ministries and agencies. In particular, the forum also witnessed the presence of Mr. Carsten Schittek, Minister Counselor, Head of the Trade Section of the European Union Delegation to Vietnam; Mr. Joseph John Gargadi, Charge d'Affaires of the Nigerian Embassy in Vietnam; Mr. Daniel Stork, Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Agustaviano Sofjan, Indonesia. Agustaviano Sofjan, Consul General of Indonesia in Ho Chi Minh City; and 21 diplomatic delegations from embassies, consulates general and business associations of countries such as Saudi Arabia, Australia, Portugal, Brunei, Canada, ... and 100 leaders of leading EuroCham companie.

Prior to the forum, our Managing Partner Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc together with the Eurocham delegation had a discussion with the Board of Directors of the Provincial Committee about the potentials, strengths and limitations of Binh Phuoc so that investors can have a comprehensive view and implement investment activities in Binh Phuoc in the coming period.

Mr. Phung Duc Tien, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, said: "In the context of common difficulties, but in recent years, Binh Phuoc Province has achieved great achievements and has made a comprehensive new development in the field of industry, agriculture and services with an average growth rate (GRDP) of 8.34%, exceeding the set plan of 8%, ranking first in the Southeast region and 11th in the whole country. In particular, agricultural production is stable and gradually developing towards high-tech and large-scale application".

Next, Ms. Tran Tue Hien, Chairwoman of Binh Phuoc People's Committee, said: "The forum is an opportunity for Binh Phuoc to introduce and promote its image, potential and preferential policies, to help domestic and foreign investors to access key projects, especially projects in industrial parks, economic zones, high-tech agricultural projects, thereby inviting domestic and foreign enterprises and investors, including renowned EuroCham enterprises with financial and technological potential, to invest in Binh Phuoc. Coming to Binh Phuoc Province, investors will find a country that is changing in harmony with development and integration with the world; a friendly destination with safe and convenient investment opportunities. In particular, investors will enjoy the highest preferential policies on taxes, land rent exemption and reduction according to the framework prescribed by the Government of Vietnam; supporting infrastructure to connect to the border of the project scope; supporting vocational training; supporting enterprises in the field of information technology; and recognizing, respecting, and implementing international investment treaties to which Vietnam is a signatory".

At the same time, she also said that digital transformation, information technology application in investment support and business support will be effectively implemented. Moreover, with the "Four Good Foundations" of good infrastructure, good human resources, good policies and good public services, Binh Phuoc is determined to meet all the service needs of investors coming to the province, including EuroCham Businesses.

By attending the forum, Managing Partner Nguyen Van Phuc had the opportunity to listen to valuable exchanges from delegates who are leaders of Binh Phuoc Province, EuroCham Vietnam, VIDA and companies participating in the program. As a result, HM&P has been updated with more important knowledge and information in investment consulting activities for domestic and foreign investors in the process of approaching key projects in Binh Phuoc.
