HM&P participates and shares insights at the Quang Ngai Business Conference in Ho Chi Minh City

On the afternoon of October 3, 2024, at the New World Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, the People’s Committee of Quang Ngai Province organized the “Quang Ngai Business Networking Conference in Ho Chi Minh City” to introduce the province’s potential and investment opportunities. Attending the event were Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council, Bui Thi Quynh Van; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Thanh Binh; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang, along with other senior provincial leaders and nearly 150 guests, including representatives from diplomatic agencies, business associations, and domestic and foreign investors. Representing HM&P Law Firm, Managing Lawyer Nguyen Van Phuc attended and made important contributions to the conference.

The conference was held to promote Quang Ngai’s potential and competitive advantages, particularly in maritime economy and heavy industries connected to the deep-water port of Dung Quat. It provided an opportunity for investors, especially foreign businesses and foreign business associations in Vietnam, to explore the province’s favorable investment environment, laying the groundwork for expanding investment cooperation between Quang Ngai and potential domestic and international investors.

In his opening remarks, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang emphasized Quang Ngai’s significant potential for maritime economic development, particularly the Dung Quat Economic Zone, one of five coastal economic zones prioritized for development by the government. He also highlighted Quang Ngai as an ideal destination, with unique natural landscapes and cultural-historical values that create favorable conditions for sustainable tourism development, focusing on marine tourism as the spearhead and cultural tourism as the core.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Thanh Binh praised Quang Ngai’s dynamic economic development, with growth across sectors such as maritime economy, tourism, industry, services, and agriculture-forestry-fisheries. He noted that Quang Ngai is now among the top 20 provinces and cities with the largest economies in Vietnam.

At the conference, Lawyer Nguyen Van Phuc, representing HM&P, shared his views on investment policies and the challenges of attracting investment to Quang Ngai. He emphasized the intense competition between provinces in attracting high-tech industries and the importance of training and developing human resources to meet the needs of investors.

Chairman Nguyen Hoang Giang highly appreciated Lawyer Phuc’s contributions and expressed his desire for further contributions from him to the province’s overall development and investment activities.
