HM&P publishes its Personal Data Handling Policy in recruitment from 2026

The Personal Data Protection Law (“PDP”) 2025 officially came into effect on January 1, 2026 with increasingly stringent compliance requirements for businesses. HM&P as a law firm and providing personal data protection compliance services to businesses, we believe that the development and publication of internal policies related to personal data processing is our way of demonstrating our responsibility transparency in their professional activities as well as for employees who wish to accompany HM&P.

With that desire, HM&P Law Firm ("HM&P") officially announces the Policy on Handling and Protection of Candidates' Personal Data during the recruitment process, which is one of the internal policies reviewed, developed and standardized by HM&P according to the new legal framework of Vietnam and learns from the progressive models of many businesses leading in the world in protecting privacy in the field of labor and employment.

This policy of HM&P focuses on clarifying core contents such as:

• The scope and type of personal data collected by HM&P in recruitment activities;
• Purpose, manner and legal basis of data processing at HM&P;
• Duration of storage, principles of sharing data with third parties; and
• The rights of the applicant as a data subject, in accordance with the Law on PDP 2025.

Through the publication of this policy, HM&P wishes to clearly demonstrate its commitment to respecting privacy, information security and compliance with personal data laws, and to share a practical approach to applying personal data protection regulations right from these seemingly "internal" but potentially risky HR activities.
