    HM&P’s Managing Partner attended Meet Indonesia Conference 2024 in Nha Trang City

    On March 21st, HM&P representative, Managing Partner Nguyen Van Phuc was present in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province to participate in the "Meet Indonesia" Conference 2024. The conference was organized by the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee in cooperation with the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Indonesian Embassy in Vietnam, with the participation of more than 350 delegates from Indonesia and Vietnam. The Meet Indonesia 2024 Conference has been an important step forward in strengthening cooperation and trade between Vietnam and Indonesia in recent years.

    On the Indonesian side, the conference was attended by Mr. Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, Indonesian Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries; Mr. Teten Masduki, Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises; Mr. Denny Abdi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Indonesia to Vietnam. On the Vietnamese side, Mr. Nguyen Hai Ninh, Member of the Executive Committee, Provincial Party Secretary of Khanh Hoa; Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa Province; Mrs. Nguyen Minh Hang, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and leaders of 20 provinces and cities in two economic and social regions, North Central Vietnam and Central Coast and Central Highlands.

    Opening the conference, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Nguyen Minh Hang said: "This conference has an important significance and promises to create new winds and new motivations to deepen the strategic partnership between Vietnam and Indonesia. The conference focused on sharing and exchanging the development policies and strategies of each country and each locality to better understand each other's potentials and advantages, thereby seeking and promoting opportunities for cooperation and investment; strengthening the connection between ministries, branches, localities and enterprises of the two sides; developing and implementing mechanisms for exchanging and promoting investment cooperation. In addition, the two sides will promote cooperation programs and specific agreements between localities and businesses, contributing to the implementation of the Strategic Partnership Action Program 2024-2028 between the two Governments of Vietnam and Indonesia.”.

    Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan, Chairman of the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa Province, said at the conference as follows: "Khanh Hoa always welcomes Indonesian agencies, organizations, investors and businesses to accompany and cooperate with the province to share experiences and achievements in sustainable tourism development and creative economy,  digital economy; application of high technology in agricultural production, in sustainable aquaculture; digital transformation in the agriculture...".

    At the same time, he also highlighted key areas where Khanh Hoa would like to cooperate with Indonesian partners, including: tourism, high-tech machinery industry (mainly shipbuilding); clean energy industry, renewable energy, oil and gas processing; electronics and semiconductor industry; biotechnology industry, vaccine production, marine pharmaceuticals,...

    Speaking at the conference, Mr. Denny Abdi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Indonesia to Vietnam, said: "Relations between Vietnam are growing, economic growth will reach 5.05% in 2023, bilateral relations will reach $13.8 billion. Many sectors between Vietnam and Indonesia are growing strongly, such as fisheries and digital economy. I hope the two sides will work together to build cooperation so that they can develop further. The Indonesian side encouraged Indonesian businesses to invest in Vietnam and Khanh Hoa. On this occasion, we will have strong agreements and commitments to invest in Khanh Hoa.”

    Information on three bilateral discussion sessions at the conference

    After the opening session, the conference held three bilateral discussion sessions on three topics: High-tech agricultural cooperation and sustainable fisheries development; digital economy and tourism cooperation; and cooperation in renewable energy and high-tech development. In addition, the conference also included activities to connect Vietnamese localities and enterprises with Indonesian partners, such as Khanh Hoa - Indonesia Meet Conference, Memorandum of Understanding between Phu Yen Province and the Indonesian Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries; field survey activities in the barb aquaculture area of Australis Company, Van Ninh KN Solar Power Plant,... Indonesian investors and enterprises were provided with some important information about the market, cooperation opportunities and investment prospects of Indonesian enterprises in Khanh Hoa Province.
