From July 7–10, 2025, the Personal data protection week (PDP Week 2025), jointly organized by the Personal Data Protection Commission of Singapore (PDPC Singapore) and the Asian Institute of Policy and Privacy (AIPP), was held on a large scale at Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Singapore. The event brought together more than 3,000 attendees, mostly from across Asia, including regulators, data protection professionals, and corporate representatives, to exchange experiences, share best practices, and foster cooperation in personal data protection.

Amid Vietnam’s accelerated push for digital transformation in public administration, the Government issued Decree No. 69/2024/ND-CP on May 15, 2024, regulating electronic identification and authentication. Accordingly, from July 1, 2025, all administrative procedures must be carried out via electronic identification (eID) accounts issued by the Ministry of Public Security. This new regulation presents an urgent requirement for businesses to register and utilize eID accounts to avoid disruptions in digital administrative processes.
